MOSAIC Property Group brought a touch of local history to the opening of its new Sunshine Coast office on Thursday, October 12.

More than 60 guests attended the official launch of Mosaic's Duporth Avenue office that is poised to become the central hub for the company's development activity on the Sunshine Coast.

The office and showroom will be manned by 12 Mosaic staff as the Brisbane-based company progresses construction on two major projects in the region, the $20million Solis and a $23million boutique apartment developments at Kings Beach.

"The turn-out was great and we're excited to finally launch our new office and showroom here on the Sunny Coast," said Mosaic's managing director Brook Monahan.

"This building has a lot of history attached to it and now we're hoping to create a bit of our own as we continue to deliver on our strategic plan for the Sunshine Coast region."

Mosaic is currently laying plans for the $52million Drift project at Coolum Beach, the latest in a $200million portfolio of at least five developments the company has planned for the Sunshine Coast inside the next 12 months.

The project pipeline will create 635 direct and indirect full-time equivalent positions, with 380 of those jobs on the Sunshine Coast.

Among the highlights of the office launch was the presentation of certificates to Mosaic for Solis and Drift recognising them as the first Sunshine Coast developments to be awarded a six leaf EnviroDevelopment certification for multi-residential apartments.

The certificates were presented to Mr Monahan by Brent Thomas, the chair of the UDIA's National EnviroDevelopment Board of Management

"We are proud to have achieved six leaf certification for these projects, which pays tribute to our corporate philosophy of sustainable development," Mr Monahan said.

Mosaic's new showroom team includes Marcus Muir, Kim Brand and Bobbie Murphy. The office is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm and on Saturday by appointment only.
