Three-vehicle crash on Bruce Highway at Coochin Creek

The Bruce Hwy is backed up for kilometres at the Sunshine Coast as emergency services respond to a multi-vehicle crash while the region is lashed by wet weather.

One lane of the Bruce Hwy is closed at Coochin Creek on the Sunshine Coast following a multiple-vehicle crash.

Emergency services rushed to the scene near the southbound Glass House Mountains service station around 4pm following reports of a three-car crash.

A Queensland Police spokesperson said one lane was closed and it was understood no one was injured.

The crash has caused traffic to come to a crawl for up to 10km.

It comes as the Sunshine Coast is bracing for wet weather and thunderstorms, after other parts of South East Queensland were thrashed earlier in the afternoon.
