A 31-year-old Sunshine Coast man has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash on the Sunshine Motorway on-ramp at Mountain Creek.

Emergency services were called to the scene alongside the on-ramp east of Seriata Way about 7am after a passing motorist sounded the alert.

Early investigations revealed the white 2018 Mitsubishi Triton ute left the road about 1am and crashed into trees.

The man was found dead inside the vehicle.

Investigators have appealed for motorists travelling east on the Sunshine Motorway at the Mountain Creek interchange taking the northbound exit to travel towards Noosa between 12.45am-1.05am to come forward with dash cam footage.
