Whether it's in the surf or on the sand, a talented bunch of boardriders are regularly making waves with their own unique brand of style.
Surf culture is a huge part of the Sunshine Coast, with the sport not only impressing onlookers on the beach but also proving a major inspiration to clothing brands and ever evolving fashion trends.

When it comes to surfers who cannot only carve up but look the part on the sand the Coast certainly boasts a plethora.
The Daily canvassed local boardrider clubs to find out who were some of the standout stars in and out of the water.
Dean Brady - Noosa Boardriders
"He is a really stylish surfer and a fairly good looking rooster," club president Paul Peterson said.
"Him and his wife actually did some of the modelling shots for (Loea Boutique Hotel).
"He has just turned 35 and he was on Rip Curl Search team for a number of years too.
"He's one of the best free surfers and 'stick yourself in the right spot for the photo' type guy.
"I think he surfed maybe two Championship Tour events as a wildcard too."
Alister and Jack Reginato - North Shore Boardriders
Noosa club president Peterson also gave a shout out to the Reginato brothers, who are members of the North Shore club, for their efforts.
Alister packs plenty of punch, helping his club claim a thrilling victory at the Australian Boardriders Battle last year with a last-gasp ride, worth 8.15 points.
Brother Jack was also part of the victorious team.
"They're both very good surfers but both also give themselves a big wrap when it comes to their looks," Peterson said.
While talented surfers, North Shore Boardriders president Craig Polla-Mounter couldn't confirm their beachside fame.
"I'm not a fashion expert," he laughed.
Ellia Smith - Coolum Boardriders
"She is absolutely smashing it the moment and has all the style and class both in the water and out of the water," club vice president Shareef Cooper said.
"She is a young girl that's surfing really well."
Smith won back to back under 18 Surfing Queensland State Titles last year.
She finished fourth in the national junior under 18 junior women's competition and second in the Junior Women's Allstars with teammate Holly Williams in 2019.
She also contested the ISA World Junior Surfing Championships that year in California where she claimed a top-five result in the under-16 girls division.
Jakey Spicer - Coolum Boardriders
"Jakey oozes style," Cooper said.
"(He) Froths at everything, loves the barrel."
Spicer, 15, has been with the club since he was six-years-old and has been a proven performer over the years.
"He wins everything," Cooper said.
"He won junior boys and does a lot of competitions."
Cooper said he had also done well at his school championships at both Coolum primary and high school.
Kelly Pocock - Coolum Boardriders
"Kell rips at everything she does, (and) keeps it real cool," Cooper said.
"(She) loves the airtime and looking good doing it."
Cooper said Pocock, 20, had also been a long term member, joining as a little ripper at six-years-old.
"She's won all her divisions all the way through up until now in opens," he said.
He said she had also performed well at state and regionals, also carving up at Coolum school competitions.
Sam Williams - Kawana Boardriders
"He's good at aerials and things like that," club member Michael Drew said.
"He is right into the fashion stuff and he likes to look good.
"He is a bit of a larrikin."
The 21-year-old has been with the Kawana club for more than 12 years, joining as a kid.
Drew said Williams didn't chase accolades in contests often and was more of a passionate and talented free surfer.
He said the former Kawana High student loved smashing airs.
Matt and Luke and Filippi - Kawana Boardriders
"They both like to look sharp," Drew said.
"They're your average surfer but they like to look good."
The Sunshine Coast-based twins competed several times on Channel 9's Australian Ninja Warrior over the years, most recently in 2020.
Matt was also a Big Brother evictee in the 2013 season of the show.
One of the first things he did upon leaving the house after a 50-day stint was hit the beach on the Coast for a surf.
Matt also runs his own personal training business in Kawana.
Reef Heazlewood - Windansea Boardriders
While not going into detail on Heazlewood's fashion choices, club president Terry Landsberg was quick to praise his talents in the surf.
"He's one of the highest rated surfers in Australia at the moment doing qualifying series," club president Terry Landsberg said.
"He's a member we all look up to and lot of juniors do as well.
"Reef holds himself really well, he is admired by many of our members.
"He is very stylish in the water."
Heazlewood was a wildcard entrant in the season-opening championship tour Quiksilver Pro event in 2019.
