SUNSHINE Coast residents and visitors are invited to the much-anticipated Harmony Display World launch this weekend as AVID Property Group opens its doors to Palmview's $3billion master-planned community.
Nearly 10 years in the making, the largest display village on the Sunshine Coast will showcase 43 designer homes from 25 local and national home builders.
A fireworks show and guest appearances by Karla Mostert, Laura Scherian and Erena Mikaere from the premiership-winning Sunshine Coast Lightning netball team will be among a host activities planned for Saturday afternoon's celebrations.
AVID Property Group general manager Queensland Bruce Harper said the new space will offer residents and potential buyers an opportunity to explore the diverse range of housing while taking in the vision for the new community.
"Providing choice is important to us as we know that no two buyers' needs are the same, whether visitors are looking for a family-sized home or a more compact home, Harmony Display World has something to suit everyone," Mr Harper said.
"With a series of active and relaxation areas, the precinct will be a one-stop shop where visitors can not only find information about the homes on offer, but experience the atmosphere and lifestyle of Harmony.
"The unique design of the village provides visitors with the opportunity to move around the homes at their own pace with relaxation nodes scattered throughout to rest and re-energise or to simply sit back and take in the community.
"We have been very mindful to create an environment that's reflective of the Sunshine Coast's character while bringing fun and excitement to people of all ages."
Harmony's Display World will boast an array of activity, with interactive street art, play areas, edible gardens, street games and puzzles, plus an 18-hole mini golf course designed to activate the village and entertain visitors and residents of all ages.
Urbis Director Glen Power said creating an engaging, elegant and lively atmosphere with day and night activation was integral to the design of the Display World.
"We wanted to create a space that was different to any existing offerings on the Sunshine Coast, and give Harmony's Display World visitors a unique space which could be enjoyed at all times, from mid-week through to the weekend," Mr Power said.
"With this in mind, we've designed the display village to be both an active and passive space, offering unique features to appeal to visitors of all ages and interests.
"The Display World's interactive street activities are designed to engage and entertain visitors, particularly the kids, with stepping pods, giant chess, naughts and crosses, hopscotch, mini golf and a five way swing peppered throughout the precinct and down Prosperity Way along with various shaded resting spots.
"While these activities offer interest, they're also a key tool to help guide visitors through the display village to ensure they enjoy their Harmony experience."
"Nearly all display homes will be completed and open from Thursday, November 23, when Harmony's Display World officially opens" Mr Harper said.
AVID Property Group invites the community to join in celebrating the launch of Harmony Display World on Saturday, November 18, at an on-site event from 3pm to 7pm ahead of the official opening of the village on November 23.
With something for the whole family, Harmony's Display World launch is not to be missed, with display home tours, food trucks, face painting, balloon artists, street activities, plus a spectacular fireworks and laser show.
Harmony's Sales and Information Centre is open daily from 10am to 5pm. Harmony's Display World will officially open daily from November 23, from 10am to 5pm. To visit, follow Harmony Boulevard, off Peter Crosby Way, Palmview.
