The Big Pineapple Festival has finally revealed their long-awaited 2024 line-up after the event’s three-year hiatus, unveiling a number Australian acts.
The headliners announced for October’s event include The Amity Affliction, Tones and I and Peking Duk along with Golden Features, Bliss n Eso and Vera Blue.
A Big Pineapple Festival spokesman said there were plenty of surprises awaiting festival-goers after the “self-imposed” three-year hiatus.
“Festival goers can look forward to a host of exciting new experiences, the World Eats and Beats area offers a culinary and musical adventure with exotic foods and tunes from around the globe,” he said.
“As night falls, the Lantern Parade will enchant audiences with a magical display illuminating the festival grounds in a breathtaking spectacle.
“For those who love to dress up, the annual Best Dressed at the Fest competition offers
huge prizes for the craziest solo and team outfits. Skating enthusiasts will enjoy the BPF
Skate Jam, where some of Australia’s best skaters will showcase their skills.
“Burlesque L’amour will make their festival debut, offering a captivating and empowering dance performance with dazzling costumes and routines. The Great Australian Pineapple Toss competition is your chance to become an Australian Champion, with $500 cash for first prize, plus a trophy and other goodies.”
The festival is set to be the Sunshine Coast’s main music event for the year following the cancellation of the Caloundra Music Festival and Groovin the Moo.
The Big Pineapple Festival will be held on October 19 in the Pineapple Fields in Woombye.
Presale tickets will be available from 8am on Wednesday, July 10.
