Sunshine Coast police investigate after alleged assault at Mooloolaba bottle-o

Police are investigating after a man allegedly became abusive towards customers and spat at a staff member during a bottle-o run in Mooloolaba.

Sunshine Coast police are appealing for information after an alleged assault in Mooloolaba.

Police allege a man was evicted from a licensed venue and then entered a store on Venning Street about 2.25pm on July 11.

The Daily understands the man visited the BWS.

According to police, the man was refused service and allegedly became abusive towards staff and patrons.

He then allegedly spat at a staff member before leaving the store on foot.

Police say the man pictured could help with their investigation.

Police say they want to speak with a man who had a cylindrical spacer earring in his left ear, a tattoo on his left forearm and a tattoo of the Southern Cross on his right inside forearm.

He also had a British accent.

Police believe the man pictured may be able to assist with the investigation.

Anyone with information about his identity, or the incident itself, are urged to contact police.
