Critical care paramedics took a man in his 50s in a serious condition with a significant leg injury to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital following the crash that occurred on a private property on Kingsgate Dr in Tinbeerwah about 6.40pm yesterday, November 18.

He remains in the hospital in a stable condition this morning, November 19.

It was one of several crashes and other incidents Sunshine Coast emergency services attended overnight.

Emergency services were also called to a two-car crash in Alexandra Headland at the corner of Kawana St and Pacific Tce about 7.20pm.

A woman, in her 50s, was taken by paramedics to the same Sunshine Coast hospital in a stable condition with a leg injury.

Firefighters who were called to the incident made the scene safe.

In another incident in Landsborough, it was the quick action of neighbours that helped quickly extinguish a caravan fire.

Emergency services were called to Plantation Crt about 8.30pm with firefighters reporting that neighbours had extinguished the blaze.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokesman said there were no visible flames by the time firefighters arrived.

They inspected the caravan and made the scene safe, he said.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said an initial investigation showed that a small battery was letting off smoke in the caravan.

It was being treated as non-suspicious at this stage, he said.
