A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital with serious chest and leg injuries after a crash on a busy motorway on the Sunshine Coast which is causing traffic delays.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the crash was at 1.35pm, on Friday, October 18.
She said the Sunshine Mwy southbound was closed following the crash near Mountain Creek Bridge but had since reopened.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was rushed to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with significant leg and chest injuries in a stable condition.
Cyclist hit by car, rushed to hospital
A woman in her 60s was hit by a car while cycling on the Sunshine Coast this morning and has been rushed to hospital with injuries.
Paramedics rushed the woman to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after she was struck by a car at Maroochydore, just before 6am, Friday, October 18.
She suffered arm injuries from the Maroochy Boulevard crash.
A Queensland Police spokesman said the woman was a cyclist.
He said it was a minor crash and she was in stable condition with hand injuries.
