But for those sitting back in the sunshine of the backyard, or those like this journalist looking out the window in envy, warm conditions are expected this weekend according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Forecaster Alex Majchrowski said “pretty decent” totals fell around the Coast overnight, most in the region’s north.
Kenilworth had a much-needed 20mm total while scattered falls fell between Maroochydore and Noosa at around the 10mm mark.
“There were a few showers this morning and pretty widespread,” Mr Majchrowski said.
“But not much else happening, only a slight chance of a shower.
“Temps will warm to about 30C today with a few southerly winds coming though.
“They’re expected to ease tomorrow for average temps to be around 26C.”
