TRAVIS Mills says he is in a happy place after joining Noosa this season and his eight-goal haul last weekend shows how much he enjoys playing for the Tigers.

TRAVIS Mills says he is in a happy place at Weyba Rd after joining Noosa from Maroochy-Northshore this season and his eight-goal haul last weekend is just a result of how much he enjoys playing for the Tigers.

Mills’ bag was one of the decisive factors in Noosa’s come-from-behind victory against Western Magpies last Saturday.

Not surprisingly, he will be looking to do the same today when the Tigers host Pineapple Hotel Cup leader Wilston Grange.

“It was pretty lucky. I was just in the right spot at the right time,” Mills said of last week’s performance. “It just kind of happened as I got more into the game.

“I’m having a ball (at Noosa).

"They’ve welcomed me with open arms and I think I’ve fit in pretty good so far.”

Noosa trailed the Magpies at three-quarter time before kicking seven goals to their opponents’ three in the final term to win by 25 points.

Small forward Mills, 26, said the Tigers’ fitness helped them run out the game better.

“We came good in the last quarter, which was a bonus,” he said.

“Our fitness is pretty good and that was part of it.

“We were still pretty fit and running out the game.”

The Gorillas are the big improvers of the year and Mills says the Tigers will need to get out of the blocks quickly.

“They’re four-zip, so it’ll be a tough game, but we’ve prepared ourselves for it,” he said.

Caleb Isles returns for the Tigers.

Maroochy-Northshore has the bye.
