Sunshine Coast surfers Keely Andrew and Isabella Nichols have failed to advance to the finals at the Maui Pro.
The first round of the 2021 World Surf League Championship Tour kicked off on Tuesday at Honolua Bay after several lay days.
Mooloolaba's Andrew bowed out in 17th place during the elimination round with a combined score of 11.30.
Fellow Aussie Sally Fitzgibbons was triumphant landing a 14.07, while American Sage Erickson edged out Andrew with a 14.00.

23-year-old Nichols went one round further to the Round of 16 where she came up against Tatiana Weston-Webb.
Nichols had a solid performance with a 7.33 and a 5.83 wave but it wasn't enough to beat the Brazilian.
Weston-Webb advancing to the quarter-finals with a 18.20.
The Coast will have another chance at a title in Hawaii with Julian Wilson set to hit the waves in the men's competition.
The Pipe Masters is due to start on Wednesday.
