THE Australian PGA Championship has pulled off a major coup, with 2011 British Open champion Darren Clarke set to play at the Hyatt Regency Coolum tournament in November.
The Irishman was this morning confirmed as a starter for the tournament and will headline the field alongside Australia's best golfer Jason Day, and legend Greg Norman.
“I have heard great things about Queensland and the course at Coolum so I am looking forward to playing golf in more warm conditions than I am used to and also testing my game on a different style course to that of a links," Clarke said.
"My family also cant wait to get to the Sunshine Coast."
The Australian PGA Championship runs from November 24-27.
