Firefighters are on scene at a Coast home where a shed has caught fire.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said crews were called to the Glenmount Rd property at Tanawha about 5.30pm.

She said firefighters were able to contain the fire to an 8m x 8m structure on the property.
