Emergency services have responded to a head on collision in the Sunshine Coast hinterland - with three patients being treated for serious injuries.
Police, QAS, and QFES were called to a two-vehicle head on collision at Maleny Kenilworth Rd, Conondale, on the Sunshine Coast just before 9am Monday.
A QFES spokeswoman said two crews were on scene working with police.
A QAS spokeswoman said three patients were being treated on scene for serious injuries - however their conditions were unknown.
A woman in her 30s was being treated for serious neck and back injuries and another woman was being treated for serious chest, back, and leg injuries.
A man in his 40s was being treated for serious chest and arm injuries.
“Two patients were transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in stable conditions,” she said.
“And one patient declined transport.”
A QPS spokesman said it was serious crash and drivers were advised to travel with caution or avoid the area for now.
