Buyers will need millions for a slice of land on the Sunshine Coast’s most premium streets as waterfront blocks continue to skyrocket in popularity and price.
A review of price data from Ray White through 2023 listed the top 10 most expensive streets across the Sunshine Coast and other parts of the state.
The results proved Mcanally Dr at Sunshine Beach has the most expensive median price for buying a home on the Sunshine Coast at $6.05m.
The priciest property on the block, 26 Mcanally Dr, was sold by Tom Offermann Real Estate in November, 2023 with a price tag of $13.5m
Azure House at 26 McAnally Dr is one of the early solo works of renowned house designer Chris Clout and was previously bought for $6.2m in 2016 before it was put up for auction in 2023.
Another home on the street, 14 Mcanally Dr, was sold for $7.3m in March, 2022, boasting four bedrooms and incredible views of the ocean stretch.
Mcanally Dr is closely followed by Maher Terrace - also at Sunshine Beach - which had a median sale price of $5,587,500 in 2023.
A three-bedroom house at 20 Maher Terrace was sold for $9.1m in August, 2022.
The Anchorage, Noosaville and Cypress Ct and Mooloolah Island in Minyama follow suit with $4.675m, $4.25m, and $4.15m as the medium price for each street respectively.
Of these, 16 Mooloolah Island was one of the priciest parcels sold, being snapped up for $6.5m in January, 2022.
The median price of a home on Mcanally Dr, Sunshine Beach beats out Brisbane’s most expensive street - Macquarie St, Teneriffe at $5.85m - but pales in comparison to the Gold Coast, where one must be prepared to splash a median price of $10.5m to buy on Hedges Avenue at Mermaid Beach.
Moving out of state, Sydney’s priciest street, Wolseley Rd at Point Piper, requires $23.755m and Linlithgow Rd, Toorak in Melbourne has a median price of $14.9m
