Rescue chopper on scene following crash that injured two people on Obi Obi Road

Ambulance officers are assessing whether to transport a man to hospital by ambulance or rescue chopper after a serious crash in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

A rescue chopper has landed at the scene of a crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle that injured two people in Kenilworth.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said ambulance officers were called to Obi Obi Road about 10.40am on July 27, 2022.

The spokeswoman said they treated a woman in her 20s, who was the driver of the vehicle, before transporting her to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital by ambulance.

She said the rescue helicopter was called and ambulance officers were assessing whether to transport the male motorcyclist who was in a serious but stable condition by road or by air to hospital.
