Across Queensland firefighters are battling dozens of fires, with crews dealing with a nightmare combination of high winds and temperatures in the 30s.

Sunshine Coast detectives say initial investigations indicate a fire at Beerwah on Sunday, October 29 was deliberately lit near Stokes Rd around 10.30am.

The building was destroyed by fire, however emergency crews managed to contain the fire to that building and a small, grassed area nearby.
