THE public examination of directors and executive staff of a Maroochydore-based national training college's administration company has been delayed.
SC Admin director Jim Spong and others, understood to include his son Glenn, the former CEO of SmartCity Vocational College, were due to give evidence about the collapse of the administration company in December, 2016, at a Federal Court examination in Brisbane this month.
The examination was due to run from December 4-7 in Brisbane, but was adjourned until early next year.
The Daily understands the public examination was now likely to start in March 2019. It was unknown why the matter was adjourned.
Hundreds of staff were left jobless just days before Christmas in 2016, when SC Admin went into liquidation, while the training college was later de-registered.
