THEY don't make homes like this any more is the topic of conversation as people inspect 39 Poinsettia Ave, Mooloolaba.

Owner occupied for the past 25 years, the high-set home is reminiscent of the late 70's to early 80's. It is well-maintained and features the warmth of original timber flooring.

"The house is very well built and the location alone is fantastic," described Vicki Stewart of Stewart Property.

"Central Mooloolaba real estate is sought-after. Situated less than 15 minutes' easy walk to beaches, it's a nice lifestyle residential area. Some neighbouring suburbs are falling out of people's budgets.

"The ceiling downstairs are a good height and it's very roomy. You could build another residence in the lower level alone. There is so much potential."

Extras include side access for the caravan and extra toys. Add a 506sqm corner block and dual living possibilities and this is the type of liveability many look for. It's a Mooloolaba oldie, but a goodie.

Appraised to rent for between $550 and $570 per week, the property has attracted a mix of investors as well as renovators.

Vicki has received early offers for the property but the vendor's instructions are to go to continue with the campaign and sell on the auction floor.

The Stewart Property team will be on-site Saturday, March 10 from 10.30am in preparation of the auctioneer's introduction at 11am.
