A METROPOLITAN-inspired townhouse development is set to put Meridan Plains on the radar of Sunshine Coast's young and dynamic professionals.
Ascent Sunshine Coast, a two and three-storey townhouse complex is the latest project from BRW fastest 100 builder, Devcon Building Co.
Devcon Building's sales director, Peter Latham said the 27-unit development had already seen popularity among young buyers.
"We're already collecting an impressive number of expressions of interests, pre-launch, with local and interstate buyers showing a keen interest," Mr Latham said.
Mr Latham credits the high interest in Ascent Sunshine Coast to its metropolitan urban design.
"Ascent resonates well with the young professional demographic, because it's not only aesthetically appealing but has great boutique lifestyle amenities which is a growing trend in this region."
"The low maintenance, but light and airy design will suit young, dynamic professionals and it's ideally located close to the new University hospital precinct and business hubs of the Sunshine Coast."
Graeme Bews, associate director of planning and urban design at JFP Urban Consultants, worked closely with Devcon and says Ascent Sunshine Coast fills the need for well-located high-quality townhouse-style developments on the coast.
"There is a real need for well-located high-quality townhouse style development on the Coast and this style of development suits the needs of households seeking low maintenance lifestyles," Mr Bews said.
"The mix of two and three-storey townhouse style dwellings are well located within the established master-planned Creekwood residential community."
"Ascent Sunshine Coast is within walking distance of extensive parkland networks, Meridan College and close to local shopping facilities and public transport."
Mr Bews also credits the well-planned open-spaced design.
"The dwellings have been carefully designed to ensure that they achieve excellent natural light, access to breezes and high-quality landscaping."
Devcon Building Co. has put extensive thought and planning into the design of Ascent, wanting to give the Sunshine Coast a metro inspired living solution while still capitalising on the natural surrounds of the region.
Michael Kain, managing director of Devcon Building Co. said the name was inspired by the two greatest natural features of the area, the mountainous hinterland to the west and rolling waves to the east.
"Mountains and waves both feature crests or ascents. We're lucky to have such breathtaking natural surroundings and we wanted to reflect that in the naming and branding of this project," Mr Kain said.
Ascent Sunshine Coast, is the third townhouse development on the Sunshine Coast for Devcon Building Co, following the success of the completed Central Villas in Buderim, and neighbouring Sanctuary Villas which currently in construction, is 85% sold out.
With DA currently being finalised by council, construction is set to begin in March 2018.
