Many reasons to celebrate

SUNSHINE Coast Century 21 offices are celebrating being recognised as the best not only in Australia but New Zealand as well.

At the annual awards in Brisbane the Noosa-based Conolly Hay Group was announced Number 1 office in Australasia by value of sales and Number 2 office Australasia by number of sales.

Meanwhile Maroochydore's Century 21 on Duporth was Number 3 office in Australasia and Damien Said named Queensland's top principal. It was the the ninth time he has received this award and eighth consecutive year.

Buderim-based Century 21 Grant Smith Real Estate was awarded top auction office in Queensland, and principal Grant Smith number one auction salesperson.

Conolly Hay Group's Rachel Sellman was Queensland top salesperson of the year by value and Gavin Ryan the runner up. Amy Gayford was named administration team member of the year.

"We are in a very competitive environment in the Noosa market,'' co-principal Mike Hay said, "and there is no doubt that the Century 21 brand is enormously helpful, giving us instant credibility, which we are very grateful for.

"A huge thank you goes to our entire team; to our property managers who are doing an amazing job every day with our permanent and holiday rentals.

"To our admin girls who are a fantastic support to everyone. Nothing is too much trouble, and everything is done so quickly and efficiently.

"Our entire sales team throughout our four offices is just incredible.''

Century 21 on Duporth also claimed Queensland awards for personal/sales assistant of the year, Lauren Probert; property manager of the year, Leanne Kerr; and property management office of the year.

Clint Leys and Jodie McDonell were masters emerald winners, in response to sales success.

"This was a particularly great effort for the team given the fact we now have a great mix of experience and new comers into the industry,'' according to Damien Said.

"We had some great results from the experienced agents of Jodie Mcdonell, Clint Leys, Gordan McPherson and Rob Whiting and there is a great fresh crop of very professional agents coming through with Melissa Anderson, Jamie Smith, Ryan Tomlinson, Kristy Cannon and Paul Stokje all going very well.

"We are excited for what 2018 brings for the sales team. We are also very proud of our great rental team who also won the property management office of the year.''

Grant Smith was the number one auction salesperson for the state and again a centurion which is the top 2% internationally in the Century21 organisation.

Grant Smith Property was awarded top auction office in Queensland, with the greatest auction success.

Russell Dell was inducted into masters, the top 5% internationally for his sales.

Mr Smith said that with variant prices being achieved, auctions were a good sales method in the current market.

"There is a general positive movement with multiple buyers in the market place,'' he said.

"Quite often we are experiencing properties selling above comparable sales of three months ago in particular price ranges.''

"There is a general consensus that there are more buyers than new listings coming to the market.''

Conolly Hay Group also saw masters entry awards to Gavin Ryan, Sam Walker and Ross Bauer.

Masters ruby awards went to Jonathan Tomasini, Leon Butt and Rachel Sellman while a masters life award went to Mike Hay.
