Two desired properties at Golden Beach owned by one family for more than four decades have sold days apart to a storm of interest.

More than 60 registered buyers rocked up to the first and only open home at 134 Westminster Ave, Golden Beach less than 24 hours after it went live.

Sold as two separate titles with 132 as a block of land and 134 with a four-bedroom home, the blocks went to market on December 30 through Coronis Mooloolaba.

Agent Louis D'Espagnac said the open home went for half an hour on New Year's Eve and both properties went unconditional within days.

Mr D'Espagnac said the block of land was sold to a local family from Aroona and the home to a man from Melbourne.

He said the demand was unprecedented.

"I've never see a queue of people like it in 20-odd years in this industry," Mr D'Espagnac said.

"To have 60 registered buyers on New Year's Eve is unheard of.

"We had people of all walks of life, families, grandparents, investors, people wanting to buy and rent it out, honestly everyone."

Aroona resident Andrew Allen and his partner Avril Wilkes and three children Neave, 3, Josie, 5 and Grace, 8, were the lucky new owners of 132 Westminster Ave.

Mr Allen said he viewed it as an investment sale and that the plan was to sit on the block for a little while and build a home towards the end of the year.

"We were quite determined to get into Golden Beach, it's such a nice suburb so it was highly motivating," Mr Allen said.

"It's a beautiful place to live and the opportunity was difficult to pass up.

"To know so many people were interested is quite reassuring and only reinforces my confidence in the suburb."

Mr Allen said he had also been looking into investing at Noosa and Rainbow Beach, but was sold on Golden Beach.

Mr D'Espagnac said the sale also generated 150 online inquiries and hundreds of phone calls.

He wouldn't disclose what the house and land package sold for but said it was at more than the asking price of $525,000.

"The owners are over the moon," he said.

"We had more than 20 written offers on the house and about 10 on the block of land."
