YOU don't have to be Kate Middleton to live in a castle ... in fact the Sunshine Coast's own castle at Bli Bli is looking for a new owner.

The popular tourist attraction has been on the market for about four weeks, with tenders for the sale closing on June 30.

Sales agent Paul Freney from Engel and Volkers said already the listing had produced about “20 to 30 enquiries” from across Australia and the world.

“We've had calls from mostly Australians, but also a couple from South Africa and one from America,” Mr Freney said.

The castle was being sold as an ongoing tourism business, although Mr Freney said there had been inquiries about “changing its use”.

“It's zoned residential, but it can be used for tourism and is fully licensed,” Mr Freney said.

He said he had “no idea' what the market value of the castle would be.

“It was bought for about $1.2 million last time, but the numerous extensions have been carried out, including additional car parking.”
