Sunshine Coast police are searching for two girls who stole from a local IGA before attacking and injuring staff members, then fleeing.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said police were investigating a robbery at a business in Caloundra on Wednesday, March 26.
About 10.15am police were called to the business on Bingera Terrace after reports that items had been stolen and staff members were assaulted.
An initial investigation indicates two girls entered the business and attempted to steal multiple items before physically assaulting two staff members who attempted to intervene.
The pair then left the store.
A 41-year-old female employee received facial injuries as a result of the incident.
Investigations are ongoing.
