A Maroochydore hairdresser has been arrested for allegedly dealing multiple drugs, supplying to minors and fraudulently living in subsidised government housing, a court has heard.

Vesna Holden was taken into custody this week where she is accused of trafficking meth, MDMA, marijuana and GHB over an extended period.

Police allege in court documents tabled in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Wednesday during her bail application that the 41-year-old has been running her operation for at least 12 months.

Detectives allege her drug dealing was her primary endeavour, where police also claim she is supplying drugs to juveniles.

Court documents showed she allegedly ran her drug business with another co-accused and associates with known criminals who were “heavily entrenched” in the drug scene.

Police allege her main source of income as coming mostly from drug sales while she was also in receipt of Centrelink and government payments.

Detectives state Holden receives subsidised government housing and lived at a “resort” in Maroochydore.

They allege in court documents there was considerable unexplained wealth identified in her bank statements which would “far exceed” the income of someone on government payments.

Police allege the Maroochydore woman was understating her income and financial situation “to ensure she receives luxury government funded housing”.

She was charged with 39 offences including 14 counts of supplying drugs, 13 of aggravated supply of drugs to a minor over 16, four of drug trafficking and one of fraud.

Police prosecutor Mark Burrell objected to Holden’s bail and claimed investigations by Caloundra detectives involved months of search warrants, mobile phone and finance analysis, tactical intercepts and covert surveillance.

Sergeant Burrell said it was alleged the 41-year-old had $45,000 of unexplained wealth flow into her bank account from August 2024 to January this year.

Duty solicitor Cherisse Wildin said the hairdresser and mother had minimal criminal history and could abide by strict conditions.

Ms Wildin told the court Holden denied many of the allegations and had steady work in Woombye.

Magistrate Chris Callaghan opted to grant the 41-year-old bail on strict conditions which included reporting to police three times a week and random drug testing.

Her matters will return to court next month.
