A pregnant Sunshine Coast woman has been arrested after she placed a mechanic’s number on an intimate dating site and falsely told his boss he made sexual comments about her child.

Alissa Ann Robinson had messaged the man’s boss on October 24, telling him the victim had sent inappropriate Facebook messages about her one-year-old child.

Maroochydore Magistrates Court heard the victim did not know who the woman was and vigorously denied the allegations to his employer.

Police prosecutor Mick Ruddiman said that after this encounter the victim began to receive dozens of sexually explicit texts from unknown numbers.

It was later revealed Robinson had placed the mechanic’s number on a free classifieds website called Locanto under a false ad.

In the advertisement the pregnant mother wrote under a username offering free live photos and videos, saying she was 20-years-old, “extremely kinky” and asked for people to call the number, which belonged to the mechanic.

Sergeant Ruddiman said the mechanic went to police “distressed” after receiving a text from Robinson telling him that he was “about to have fun with all the s--t (he’d) just done :)”.

She was spoken to by police on October 30 and charged.

Duty lawyer Rachel Holland said the heavily pregnant Robinson was going through a “bad time” during the offence, stressed from law proceedings while being in a domestically violent relationship.

Ms Holland said this offence was out of character for the young mum, who had aspirations to be a child care teacher.

Magistrate Graham Hillan told Robinson her comments were serious and “damaging” to the victim, saying he suffered a great deal due to her online actions.
