A Coast man is "one step closer to going to jail" after he was sentenced for being a drunken pest at a popular Noosa Heads pizza bar.

Peter James Cherry, 46, pleaded guilty in Noosa Magistrates Court on Tuesday to committing a public nuisance within a licenced premise and obstructing police.

The court heard Cherry while on a drunken night out entered Somedays Pizza on Sunshine Beach Rd at Noosa Heads as staff were closing the restaurant.

Police were called after Cherry sat down and demanded food and beer despite service having ended.

Police prosecutor Alison Johnstone said Cherry used racial slurs towards staff during the incident.

Cherry was arrested and recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.210.

Magistrate Christopher Callaghan said Cherry "obviously (gets) angry" when drinking and if he didn't control himself in the future he was "one step closer to jail".

"It's not a pleasant night for the rest of us," Mr Callaghan said.

Cherry, who was on a suspended sentence for similar aggravated offences, was sentenced to immediate parole.

He has also been banned for 12 months from entering any licenced venue in Sunshine Beach, Peregian, Tewantin, Noosaville and Noosa Heads.

He has also been ordered to front Maroochydore District Court to be resentenced for previous offending.
