As the search for missing Nambour man Nate Preston continues police have confirmed they have found the body of an elderly man in the Mooloolaba marina.

Sunshine Coast police have discovered the body of an elderly man in the Mooloolaba canals.

Police sources confirmed the body of a man believed to be in his 70s was found in the Mooloolaba marina near Pier 33 about 9am Monday, June 6, 2022.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman confirmed police were investigating the death but detectives believe it was non-suspicious.

It comes as police continue their search for missing Nambour man Nate Preston who disappeared on May 22, 2022.
