Manhunt underway as police search for car thief
A manhunt is underway after a man in a stolen car was spotted “driving dangerously” across the Sunshine Coast before he took off on foot.

UPDATE 8AM: No arrests have been made.
Property Crime Squad are investigating the matter.
UPDATE 8PM: A Queensland police spokesman said the hunt for the alleged car thief is still underway.
INITIAL STORY: A manhunt is underway after a man in a stolen car was spotted "driving dangerously" across the Sunshine Coast before he took off on foot.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the man broke into a home at Warana this morning where he stole a handbag and keys to a Toyota Corolla.
He said the vehicle was observed "driving dangerously" at Noosa.
Officers attempted to track the vehicle which was later ditched on Rifle Range Rd, Nambour and the man took off on foot.
At one point the man was observed "hiding under a house" before fleeing.
Police describe the man as caucasian and aged in his 30s.
