Two people charged after an alleged stabbing during a break-in at a Noosa hinterland home have been named in court.

Cooroy woman Isabelle Rose McKean, 25, and Pomona man, Tom Starky, 24, were charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent at night while armed, wounding and wilful damage following the incident at Pomona.

Emergency services were called to a Pine St property just before 11pm on Tuesday, September 19, following reports of a break-in.

A 23-year-old Pomona man was found with multiple stab wounds and rushed to hospital in a serious but stable condition, with multiple stab wounds to his abdomen.

Ms McKean, a content creator, and Mr Starky, a carpenter, had their charges mentioned in the Maroochydore Magistrate Court on Wednesday afternoon.

Ms McKean and Mr Starky are yet to enter any pleas and remain in custody in the Maroochydore watch house.

Solicitor David Crews submitted a bail application on behalf of Mr Starkey, and told the court the 24-year-old was not the one who allegedly stabbed the other man.

“My client is injured, the victim was stabbed but not by my client because my client was on the ground in a scuffle,” Mr Crews said.

“My client didn’t know the victim had been stabbed.”

According to court documents, witnesses allegedly reported hearing a male and female yell out “he owes me money for drugs”, shortly after they allegedly were seen smashing the windows of the Pomona property.

Two knives and a drug “tick list” were located at Mr Starky’s address, according allegations in to the documents.

Magistrate Rod Madsen adjourned the matters and ordered the pair be remanded in custody, to appear on video link in the court on Thursday, September 21.
