A man is in hospital after his car struck a tree near a Noosa tourism spot on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Lake Macdonald Drive, Lake Macdonald, at 2.19pm.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the driver, a man in his 50s, had chest and back injuries and a cut to the head.
He was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
It comes as emergency services were called to a crash after a car reportedly struck a wallaby on a rural Sunshine Coast road.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said they were called to the scene at Maleny Kenilworth Rd at Witta to at 3.57pm to reports of a car and motorcycle crash, but it was soon revealed to have been a car versus wallaby.
One person was assessed in a stable condition but no one was taken to hospital, she said.
