Josh David Sansucie pleads guilty to drink driving in Maroochydore Magistrates Court

A Sunshine Coast soccer coach who was allegedly driving under the influence on his way to practice had planned to defend the charges but has now changed his mind.

A Coast soccer coach who planned to defend himself against allegations he was drink driving on the way to practice in Yandina has since pleaded guilty to all charges.

Josh David Sansucie, 25, pleaded guilty in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday, September 27, to driving under the influence of liquor, driving without reasonable consideration of other persons using road, two counts of failing to provide saliva or blood for testing and failing to provide name and address to police.

He had previously pleaded not guilty to all charges in July and the matter was set down for hearing on Monday.

Police allege they had received reports the Doonan man was driving poorly on Cooloolabin Road in Yandina on July 12.

The competitive soccer player was later arrested by police at the soccer grounds during a training session he was coaching.

Mr Sansucie also pleaded guilty on Monday to two counts of driving with a suspended licence.

Police prosecutor Rebecca Lambert requested the matter be adjourned for Mr Sansucie to enter a lengthy plea to all charges.

Magistrate Rodney Madsen adjourned the matter to November 9.
