A 23-year-old Tafe student alleged to have repeatedly stomped on a man’s neck and head during a sickening Noosa Head’s brawl has faced court after breaching his bail conditions.
Police will allege Jordan Troy Savage trampled a 29-year-old man’s neck before stomping on his head twice on December 30, 2021.
Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Mansfield previously told the Sunshine Coast Dailythe alleged Buderim victim was knocked unconscious during the fight at the Hastings St roundabout near Laguna Jacks at 2am.
“It’s the standout feature … a defenceless male laying on the road and his head being stomped on … it’s a sickening attack,” Sergeant Mansfield said.
Sergeant Mansfield said the fevered incident involved between 10 to 15 people.
Mr Savage, who was charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm as a result of the brawl faced Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Friday, February 18.
The court heard Mr Savage had also breached his bail conditions by not reporting to Noosa Police Station on January 21.
He pleaded guilty to the offence.
Solicitor Chelsea Emery told the court the Tafe student was busy studying when he realised he had forgotten to attend the station.
Ms Emery said he arrived 30 minutes late and suggested a small fine with no conviction recorded.
The court heard Mr Savage was also facing an assault occasioning bodily harm while armed and in company charge after an alleged attack on December 10, 2021.
Ms Emery said police were finishing a brief of evidence in regards to Mr Savage’s matters and asked for an adjournment.
Magistrate Haydn Stjernqvist fined Mr Savage $250 for breaching his bail conditions and adjourned his matters to March 18.
No conviction was recorded for the breach of bail offence.
