Drugs wiped off streets as arrests made in police raid

Two men face serious drug charges after police found drugs and cash in a raid at a Sunshine Coast home overnight.

TWO men face serious drug charges after Sunshine Coast police allegedly found a quantity of drugs and cash at their Sippy Downs home overnight.

About 7.15pm, officers from Caloundra CIB and Sippy Downs executed a search warrant at a Morrison St, Sippy Downs address.

Sunshine Coast District officer-in-charge Daren Edwards said MDMA, cocaine, cannabis and a sum of cash were allegedly found in the home.

Detective Senior Sergeant Edwards said the amount of drugs found "wasn't huge, but indicated what was going on".

He said the men, aged 41 and 25, were both known to police.

One of the men faces one supply dangerous drugs charge and three possession charges.

The other faces seven possession charges, the majority for dangerous drugs.

The men are due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court this morning.
