Defence lawyer Chelsea Emery said a trial over the charge of murder was anticipated to occur in August, 2025 in the Supreme Court and court registry records state he and Mr Cotten’s next court appearances will be for a mention in the Supreme Court on December 11.

She told the court Mr Grant’s charges were related to the murder charge, and asked for the matters to be adjourned to a date after the trial.

As per police prosecutor Nick Nitschke’s suggestion, Mr Grant’s remaining charges were adjourned to September 10, 2025.

The two co-accused were charged after Ms McIntosh was allegedly shot on May 27, 2022 in a Moffat Beach home.

During witness cross-examination in April this year, it was alleged Mr Cotten had been putting together a gun and Mr Grant was seen handing over a part for the weapon before Mr Cotten pointed the gun at Ms McIntosh and shot.

She had been rushed to hospital but died from the gunshot wound.

No pleas have been formally entered to any of the charges.
