Emergency services were alerted this afternoon when a light plane lost partial power over Sunshine Coast Airport.
A Sunshine Coast Airport spokeswoman said the airport's rescue and firefighting service was called to a runway as a precaution just after 2pm.
"A Cessna 172 experienced some trouble, partial power loss, after taking off," the spokeswoman said.

It was a short flight for the light plane pilot who landed on the runway moments after taking off.
The airport spokeswoman said there had been no impact on operations.
