Photos: Remembrance Day service 2024 at Yandina, Sunshine Coast

Members of the community gathered across the Sunshine Coast for a moment of silence to honour those who fought in wars and protected Australia.

Residents and RSL members gathered across the Sunshine Coast for the annual service for Remembrance Day in honour of those who fought and died in wars.

A small crowd attended the service held at the Yandina Cenotaph hosted by RSL Yandina-Eumundi branch president Tracey Gilmartin.

Primary school students from the Yandina State School also gathered to pay their respects.

A guest speaker and other members of the RSL addressed the crowd, sharing poems and touching memories.

More than 200 people also attended the service in Caloundra, right beside a helicopter – the second to have landed in the Vietnam War – on display.
