MONTVILLE in spring has a nice ring to it...four rings in fact.
Audi will today launch four new models to the motoring media from the Sunshine Coast hinterland, based from Spicers Clovelly Estate at Montville.
It's the second prestige car launch to be staged here during the past month, with Infiniti also choosing the hinterland to reveal its M sedan and FX SUV.
Sixteen motoring journalists from around the nation will converge over two sessions spanning from today until Friday when they will sample the A6 and A4 Allroad models, along with the sporty S6 and S7 varients.
The Allroad models are wagons with greater ride heights and improved underbody protection over their Avante siblings.
But it will be the athletic S derivatives that will garner the most adulation. The S6 and S7 are powered by a turbocharged V8, generating a hefty 309 kilowatts and 550 Newton metres.
Helping to highlight the sporting abilities of the S models, Audi's team and guests will visit the Big Kart Track at Landsborough.
Audi's corporate communications executive Shaun Cleary said the Spicers venue and the Coast's terrain options were a deal-sealer for the launch.
"The roads are great. We had to find a unique combination of roads for the Allroads and S models," Mr Cleary said.
See Drive next week for the full road test of the Allroad models.
