JUMPING out of a plane wasn't hard enough for Maddi Ford.
As a passionate supporter of domestic violence awareness, she wanted to go above and beyond to raise vital funds.
The Goodlife Health Clubs Maroochydore receptionist will also be rowing 50km solo in a single scull to support the charity close to her heart, Sunnykids.
The not-for-profit organisation provides emergency accommodation to families and children escaping domestic violence.
Ms Ford said the cause hit a soft spot for her.
"I know people who have been affected by it,” she said.
"I've witnessed it myself, so it's something that I'll always openly talk about.”
With a goal to raise $1000 for the charity, Ms Ford hopes her physically demanding tasks will help start the conversation.
"A lot of people are scared to reach out and say something, but if we're all talking about it as if it's not a taboo subject, I think things can be changed,” she said.
"Perhaps if people who are being neglected and abused at home hear other people talking about it, they'll have some sort of hope and be willing to reach out and get the help they need.”
Although the row will be "a massive challenge physically and mentally” for Ms Ford, she is "terrified” of jumping out of the plane on May 26.
"I was always the kid to do the highest ropes at school camp, but when I'm free falling to the earth, who knows how I'm going to react to that one,” she said.
