Sunshine Coast Daily introduces weekly newspaper to compliment its digital offerings

It’s the news many have been waiting for. Find out why the Daily is launching a newspaper once again.

Meet the Sunshine Coast Daily team

Dear reader,

We would like to kick off the week with some great news: The Daily is introducing a new weekly print publication.

When we transitioned to a digital-only masthead almost a year ago, we made the commitment to bring you the news first, no matter what format it is published on.

So many of you followed us on the digital journey and we thank you for that. Today, we reach more readers than we ever reached before.

Our stories will continue to be published in a 24-hour news cycle and we are expecting to introduce some exciting innovations to make it the best reader experience it can be online.

But thanks to your continued support of the journalism our team produces right here on the Sunshine Coast, we will be able to extend our news offering to print once again.

The weekly print edition will be available across the Sunshine Coast each Friday from August.

It will contain all the elements we know our loyal readers value so much, including puzzles, a TV guide, real estate, tributes, opinion and local sport.

But we will also continue to do what the Daily has always been known for - delivering the best, real, uncompromised and local news of the week in a tactile manner so many of you have missed.

We will continue to fight for the truth, hold authorities to account and challenge their proposals.

We will continue to give the people in the community a voice and campaign on their behalf.

And we will continue to inform because we have a deep understanding that a more informed community makes better decisions.

But we also won't be afraid to do things differently.

At the end of the day, our community and our readers' needs are changing rapidly and so should we.

The Daily's weekly print edition will mean residents will soon have an additional choice to source their news. And that's a good thing for the Sunshine Coast.
