Strong opposition needed to address pressing issues

THE Labor State Government must be congratulated for instigating very practical policies that will assist in the stopping of illegal dumping of bulk rubbish in Queensland from interstate companies.

However, what a shameful display from the LNP state opposition that could only complain that the government's decision on illegal dumping would increase the cost of our fish and chips.

When will the 'forever complaining, do nothing' LNP state opposition actually make a positive decision that is in Queensland's best interest?

When will the LNP actually stand up and force the cost of living to the forefront of the parliamentary debate and stop being so negative?

People are desperate for relief from ever-increasing electricity, water, general rates, insurance and grocery bills.

We need a strong state opposition that can drive this debate and force the State Government into action.
