No need to impose further rules on older drivers

It is indeed very sad what happened to Sandy Bampton and her family, but I am nearly 75 myself and not in any way "elderly”.

REGARDING 'Indie's gran's plea for change' (Daily, June 18).

It is indeed very sad what happened to Sandy Bampton and her family, but I am nearly 75 myself and not in any way 'elderly'.

The present system laid down by the government works well in 99 per cent of all cases and does not need amendment just because of one unfortunate incident.

Accidents happen all the time and in the majority drivers of middle age or younger are involved.
