LETTER: Fuel costs important
'So if it is so important to query the banks, why not do the same with the petrol companies?'

IT IS factual that having an inquiry into the banks to make them more considerate of their customers is important.
But there are vastly more customers at petrol stations, and the difference in the prices charged at these petrol stations, even those fairly close to each other, surely is at least as important.
Many more people use petrol stations to allow them to get from one place to another than the number who depend on bank rates.
So, if the actual cost of oil is constantly decreasing, as we are told in the media, why isn't the cost of petrol decreasing and staying close to level with all petrol stations?
So if it is so important to query the banks, why not do the same with the petrol companies?
And I bet many folk can find more to complain about.
