One trapped after crash on Sunshine Mwy, Coolum Beach

Two people were injured and emergency services freed a trapped driver following a dramatic three-vehicle crash on the Sunshine Mwy.

Two patients have been taken to hospital after a truck collided with two vehicles on the Sunshine Mwy at Coolum Beach.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said emergency services received a call about 3.10pm and four crews are attending the incident.

The crash occurred south of a roundabout connecting the Sunshine Mwy and Yandina Coolum Road.

A truck driver who was previously trapped has been transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with a leg injury.

Another patient was taken to Nambour Hospital after he received a hand injury in the crash

The third patient is uninjured, the spokeswoman said.
