Noosa businesses damaged in building fire

Fire investigators are probing the cause of a fire that ripped through a small business complex in the Noosa region on Friday morning.

Several businesses have been damaged after a fire ripped through a building at Tewantin on Friday morning.

Emergency services were called to the Hilton Tce and Earl St complex at 12.20am Friday with reports of a building fire.

Police have taped off the building with fire investigators expected to arrive shortly.

Queensland Ambulance Service said no one was injured.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said it was reported that smoke was spreading to other shops in the precinct.

Four fire crews attended and the fire was under control by about 1.15am.

A fire investigator from Bundaberg will work with police officers and the criminal investigation branch to piece together what happened.
