Noosa Beach Cafe announces shock closure

Locals are reeling after the shock closure of a popular Noosa cafe on bustling Hastings St that was described by customers as ‘one of the best’.

A beachside cafe in Noosa has unexpectedly shut its doors, prompting an outpouring of support on social media with locals describing the venue as “one of the best”.

An announcement posted on social media stated the Noosa Beach Cafe, also referred to its former name, Nosh Express, would permanently close after January 31 this year.

“We would like to say thank you to all of our supporters near and far and to our staff past and present who are superstars,” the post stated.

The cafe at 7/49 Hastings St was in a prime position on Noosa Heads Main Beach and served up fresh salads and fish and chips.

Australian Business Register records showed the business started trading in April 2018 and was operated by a family trust.

The Noosa community was quick to share its disappointment in the following days, taking to social media praising the venue’s service and quality over the past years.

“I loved their wide variety of takeaway fresh salads, fish and their Mooloolaba prawn boxes were cheaper than most other shops,” one comment stated.

“The service was good and the staff were always cheerful.

“You will be missed by many.”

Another commenter described the cafe as “one of the best” in Noosa for affordable meals.

“Oh no! That was my go to for food delivery. Always fresh, delicious and large portions. Sad to see that one go,” they said.

Australian Securities and Investments Commission information show the organisational representative behind the business is Daniel Riddle.
