THE new Sunshine Coast Council has officially named its next Deputy Mayor, in an historic livestreamed council meeting this morning.
Division 1 Councillor Rick Baberowksi has been named as the new Deputy Mayor, taking over from retired former Deputy and Division 2 councillor Tim Dwyer.
His nomination was moved by Cr Christian Dickson, seconded by Cr Jason O'Pray and councillors unanimously voted for the appointment.
