CALOUNDRA South's newest resident, Aura, City of Colour, has been given a warning: not all of the neighbours are friendly.

A vandal unhappy with developer Stockland took to a sign at the entrance to the Bells Creek Arterial Rd to express their thoughts on the controversial development.

The surreptitious signwriter adjusted the Stockland sign on an art installation just off Caloundra Rd to rechristen it "s..tland" - and they were not talking about the land of kilts and hairy cows.

Stockland quickly had the vandalism "under wraps".

"Stockland is disappointed that vandals have defaced an installation at the entrance to the new $30 million Bells Creek Arterial Road," a company statement said.

"The graffiti will be immediately removed."

The statement said graffiti should be reported to the Queensland Government GraffitiSTOP hotline on 1300 Graffiti (1300 472 334)."

Member for Buderim and One Nation state leader Steve Dickson has also repaired vandalism to a sign.

Mr Dickson's image on a billboard at North Buderim was recently given a red rinse by a graffiti artist who used spraypaint to comment on the former LNP member jumping ship to red One Nation Senator Pauline Hanson's team.

The billboard has been reposted with a fresh poster of the Member for Buderim back to his natural grey roots and with no reference to any party.
