A HAVEN for mates has finally found a permanent home with Buderim Men's Shed opening at a new location.

After operating on borrowed land, shedders can now keep busy with the two impressive workshop areas and a recreation building.

Buderim Men's Shed president Barry Cheales said members were "absolutely over the moon” to welcome the new Advance Rd site in Kuluin.

"Looking to the future, there's a lot ahead of us with the baby boom bubble still coming through,” he said.

"We're going to have a capacity to engage those people and look after men's health.”

Fairfax MP Ted O'Brien said Men's Sheds are vital in providing a space to discuss mental health concerns.

Mr O'Brien was proud to see one of the largest sheds in the country open it's doors.

"The Federal Government has kicked in $1million but that's not for walls and a roof, that is for the good work that the Men's Shed movement does.”
